# Auger not working!!!

No idea?? Why would the design allow snow in there. I simply attached the module and it’s clicked in. It’s very cold out

Maybe it’s just because the belt was broke and it was pushing more snow than not. Assume that wasn’t in there when you swapped in the new module? It’s not uncommon to get snow or debris in there, but that definitely seems like more than normal. Is there anything else in there it could be rubbing against? Maybe something is misaligned.

Not it was completely dry when I put new module on. I think this is a true flaw to the module. They need to send me 100 of these belts apparently.
Is the belt easy to replace. Any you tube videos on it?

This is like the 3rd or 4th belt I’ve seen broken. It’s not very common. Something else isn’t right. I don’t believe they have a video available yet. It can’t be too complicated.

What else could it be. Snowblower clicks in. It recognizes it on the core. I feel like I can’t be doing anything else wrong.

Definitely don’t think it’s something you’re doing wrong. Clean that snow out of there and see if it’s rubbing against the plastic protector cover or if the lift actuator cotter pin or anything might be making contact with the belt. Possible something is misaligned or too long or something. If it happened to two modules, either it’s a bad batch of belts or pulleys or it had to be something with the core.

Note for @bryan.wheeler - do recall that the only thing that “clicks” is the upper pins.
I remember someone had a core where the lower pair would not engage on their M1 or something?

Yeah I think that was a 23 and the pins were too wide so it would t go on at all. It was a manufacturing issue.

My 1st attempt using new snow blower module with 1” of snow. Broken belt, haven’t found it yet and chewed up plastic gear pieces everywhere.

Bummer. Sorry to hear about your broken belt. Please make sure to open a ticket and post the ticket number here to expedite the replacement.
It does seem weird that multiple people are experiencing belts breaking so early in the season, often on their first snow clearing job. Maybe a bad batch of belts? Or maybe bad tensioning or the spindles are misaligned?
Hopefully this won’t be a continuing issue for all owners.

Are they plastic gear parts are belt parts?
Can you turn the larger gear? Wondering if the auger drive is locked up somehow.

That lower pulley looks different than mine…looks smaller? Is it the same tooth pitch? That would chew belts up

Mine broke too. Checked my security camera and saw Yarbo following edge of the driveway where previous snow was piled up and melted turning them into ice. Yarbo took a big bite of that and the rest was history.
