Auto Light Mode based on ambient light

Looking at Auto Light Mode | Yarbo Wiki , it says the auto light mode “only activates when a Work Plan runs between 6 PM and 6 AM local time”. I started a work plan this morning at around 06:05. Sunrise is at 07:09, so it was black out. The lights didn’t come on, which makes sense given how Auto Light Mode is documented to operate.

Why not use the cameras to determine ambient light, then turn the lights on/off automatically based on those values? My robot vacuum can do this. Even looking up my GPS location to determine sunrise and using that value would be better than a blanket 18:00-06:00 setting.

Thanks for sharing the suggestion. Based on your example, a more dynamic approach that accounts for actual lighting conditions or local sunrise and sunset times could be more suitable than a fixed time window.

I’ll pass this feedback along to our product team for further consideration.
