After the recent update I have a message that Yarbo stopped charging because the battery is overheated. When I check it is at 49 degrees. I believe the cut off is at 48 degrees so it makes sense.
It is 5.30PM in the evening so normally the temp should not go that high, correct?
The charging pad is in the shade and I never had this issue before.
I am in Dutches County NY and it is 85 degrees, so not crazy. Previously I never had this messageor issue.
Is this a new issue and is anyone else experiencing this?
Or could it be that it is an issue with the new replacement core that I’ve just received 2 weeks ago.
Or is it the new update.

This sounds abnormal. It shouldn’t stop charging until 51C. It should resume at 45C. It should throttle in between at a few different levels.
Ok, I will follow up on this. It might be that it stopped at 51 and that I only noticed this when it was back at 49.
But what worries me is that the temp goes that high. I never had this before.
I’ve seen it at these temps too. It really depends on how much the core temp was when it docked. Sometimes you can hit the throttle. Sometimes not. Only truly matters if you’re expecting to send it back out. If it’s done for the day, it will manage it.

Please continue monitoring whether it happens frequently. You may also try adjusting the mowing schedule to a cooler time of day to reduce the chance of the battery overheating.
