I’m trying my luck here. I usually get super fast replies and excellent service from customer support, but this time it’s been almost a week without a response. I’m also getting a B0004 battery error. Has anyone else had this error, reached out to customer service, and gotten a reply?

I’ve had little interaction with Yarbo about this issue I’m also having, though they have been very attentive to previous issues for me too. They will suggest a hard reboot (disconnect battery 5+ min, reconnect and hold power button 1 min, etc.) and also trying different modules. I haven’t any idea whats going on behind the scenes for solving B004. Though perhaps one of these early troubleshooting tips will help. A little more transparency from Yarbo would probably be helpful. As I’m sure you’re realizing, we can’t exactly bring these things to the local small engine or computer repair shop.

Maurice,

I had similar issues a few weeks back. At the time customer support wasn’t as back logged as they are now. There was quite a bit of remote diagnostics done, and it was not made clear to me what was discovered, but I do give them credit for trying everything.

They replaced the battery, the SAM module, and eventually the Core. On the positive side, the issues you described are gone. However I’m having different issues with my replacement Core.

I doubt any of this helps you, but I at least wanted to let you know that someone else had those issues and eventually got those issues resolved.

Good luck,

Jeff

Thanks for the note. To be honest, I don’t have an idea of what should be done, just that doing nothing won’t solve it. The simplest explanation is something on the core. I’m sure they’re seeing that as a last resort for shipping cost (and new issues as you mentioned), but if they can’t figure it out remotely I see no good alternatives. If only the “brains” were more modular and able to be removed and swapped out! That would be the best improvement for the next generation.

Well [Profile - Yarbo-Forum - Yarbo Forum](https://forum.yarbo.com/u/yarbo-forum) , it’s been nearly a month with no resolution to this issue. Aside from a claim that it was fixed remotely when it wasn’t, I’m not clear this has even been worked on. This seems excessively long for a warranty repair/replacement. I paid too much for this thing and I’m frustrated.

40 days out and Yarbo Support said they’re sending a refurbished core to replace my defective core. Unfortunately, they also said they have no inventory and it will be weeks before this happens. At this point, I wonder why they don’t just send a new one. By the time I am able to mow my lawn again, the Summer will be nearly over.

I received the refurbished core. Overall, the refurbished core seems in reasonable shape, though is about twice as loud and has worn out treads, suggesting either a lot of previous use or a lot of driveway use or both. I’ll be putting my treads (which even still have the new rubber nibs) onto the refurbished core before sending it back! The refurbished core indicates a rear camera “blocked” or “disconnected” error some of the time, so I will have to keep an eye on this if it becomes a consistent problem. However, most importantly, all the previous errors have gone away and I have been able to mow the lawn again!

It’s been a while but the camera issues never resolved- there is almost always a warning for one of the four cameras disconnecting or being blocked.

Yarbo sent out a refurbished core today to replace it. I was disappointed to see the condition substantially drop again as it did going from the original core to the first refurbished core. If my original unit was an 8, the first refurbished unit dropped to a 6.5 and now this one to a 5. Aesthetically it is very faded, marred, and spider cracks in the plastic.

Most importantly, the frame on the back is bent and I can’t even open the access panel to turn it on. Somehow I think they’ve mad a bad experience worse.

That said, unit #2 (with the defective cameras) is working well, just a little more blinded than what is probably safe or effective.

Hi there,

I’m really sorry to see the condition of the replacement Core you received. I completely understand your disappointment, especially after you’ve already been dealing with the camera issues on the previous Core and were expecting this replacement to finally resolve the problem.

Regarding the bent rear frame, it’s possible that the unit was damaged during transit, as it should not have arrived to you in this condition. Either way, being unable to even open the access panel and power on the replacement is definitely not the experience we wanted you to have.

I’ve also seen the update you added to your support ticket. Could you please share these photos of the replacement Core there as well? They’ll help our team evaluate its condition and determine the appropriate next step for you.

I’m really sorry that what should have been a solution has instead added another frustration to the situation.

I received two emails, one saying the ticket would be escalated to a senior specialist. The second, saying there is nothing wrong with the cover and sending a link to a video of how to unscrew and disassemble the top case and take a hammer to the bumper to bend it down. This doesn’t seem right for me to have to fix. I cant get the hatch open and don’t have time to do a repair. There is even chipped paint on the bumper showing it has suffered some damage to the rear that would explain the bent frame.
