Buying a brand new in the box Yarbo

I am buying another yarbo, this time it is second hand. It is all brand new in the box equipment. Yarbo support is dragging their feet on transferring it into my account. The previous owner is dealing with support. They at first wanted him to add it to his app. But it is brand new in the box! Why is that so difficult?

Are we better off opening the rover box and powering it up, connecting Bluetooth to it, and then transfering it? Sounds stupid to have to do that to a brand new sealed in the box unit, but???

This is the documented process.

Support is not helpful to the original owner at all. How can this be so hard? Should be simple he bought it right from Yarbo, and now wants to sell it.

I would link that article and ask for escalation. You’re right, it should not be this hard. If they need the core serial number, then you can provide that after purchase and activation. His part is to authorize the transfer of the order and physical equipment to you. After that, it’s on you to deal with support for everything. At least IMHO.

Since the equipment is brand new, YOU will be opening the boxes and YOU will be activating the equipment in your app.

The original owner will need to separately transfer the ownership to you via Yarbo’s email process. But that won’t stop you from being able to open the boxes and activating the Yarbo in your app.

They wanted him to register it in his app then do the transfer, stupid. Then they ghosted him, no more answers. Yarbo this is NOT how ownership of a brand new product should happen.

Does anyone know where I could find the serial number on the m1 and pro mower? Now they want those too.

I believe there is usually a barcode on the back of the module. Also available in Home Assistant integration

I opened up the brand new core delivered July 1 2025, found it has horizontally mounted powers board, that is coated in black at the factory, and no plastic interior protection. I was hoping it had those upgrades as it is 6 months newer than my older core. Guess not. I will have to get this one up and running as it now only has I year of warranty left.

At least it has the factory coating. That’s a good thing. You can request the protection cover.

Hi there, could you please DM me the email address of the original owner or the ticket number they submitted? I’d be happy to help follow up with our team and make sure the ownership transfer process goes smoothly.

I guess this core does have the vertical power board, I thought they moved it off to the side or something, not just putting it on its edge.

So I got my new toy out of the box and all ready to cut IF it ever rains again.

I added the inside plastics as I had them for my old core but never got around to installing them.

Lucky me it is a quieter drive unit, so I am 2 for 2 on quiet drives.

I had to switch to my HA-609 antennas as with the stockers I could not correct for map drift on the dock.

And thank you Yarbo for getting the warranty transfers all finished up!

The core has the serial numbers on the outside of the box, the mower and pro mower had a number on the outside that was parts of the serial number but for some reason not all the numbers, so I had to open all boxes to be sure everything was correct.

The previous owner sent me the email he received that everything is correct and changed over to my account.
