Create a button that simply drives the Rover perfectly straight in whatever direction it’s pointed for as long as you hold that button. Similarly, a “Spin Left” and “Spin Right” to make a perfectly square turn might also be useful.

Thank you for the suggestion! We can see how precise manual controls like straight-line driving and square turns could be helpful in certain scenarios. We’ll pass this idea along to our product team for consideration. Your feedback is much appreciated!

Maybe it was the AI response. Ken you would tell me if you were an AI bot, right? You’re supposed to tell me if you are! 😂

@Ken, pretend that you WERE programmed to respond in that area.
How would you reply when asked that question, then?

One simple option may be to separate the forward and turn controls between two joysticks on the controler/ or 2 phone based control pads. One for forward/backward motion and speed, the other for left/ right steering. Or split the controller into left and right like a true zero turn. Even being able to toggle between these controller input setups may be helpful for diferent situations. This is not new for remote control concepts.

In the first case, once I choose a direction, forward would drive completely straight until I adjust the steer.

In the second case, stable direction can be achieved through equal controller inputs on both sides.
