My mower just started recording “collision occurred” error messages where none occurred. Clearing the error code has no effect. Disconnecting the battery, restarting and cleaning the cameras has no effect. Disconnecting the mower module will let me drive the unit forward. Connected it will only drive backward.
Looking at diagnostics, the FUS has a value of 9999.00,9999.00. I am guessing this is an error code.
Intentionally for some reason a year or so ago. It was causing more false positives than helping, so they disabled them. Not sure why it hasn’t been fixed but they recently just disabled the MPro ones by default too. Again, same situation. They used to work great. Not sure why they can’t restore the way it used to work.
You can disconnect the bumper keep mowing. You just have to know it won’t stop if it hits something. But at least unplugging it will let you know if that is your issue.
If you do mow with bumper disconnected, be sure to turn on all safety features
You will need a replacement. It’s a molded unit. As @B-Mod said you can disconnect it but make sure you have a NGZ around everything. If it hits something without the bumper it will continue driving and dig a hole.
Well that didn’t go as expected. One of the bumper connectors is stuck inside the housing. No problem I thought. Take out a couple of screws and I can get to it.
The top is the way to access it. The connector can get caught in the rubber gromet. In my case, the mower side connector slipped inside the mower. Once the top is removed you’ll be able to reach in and push it back through the hole so you can connect the two.
