If you have not received the firmware update after a week, please feel free to contact us at support@yarbo.com.
Hope this Firmware update is not as problematic as the last. Good luck to everyone. I would recommend a complete shutdown of the DC and the Core to insure a full application. This is just a recommendation and my basis is from the last firmware update it was recommended several times accessed the forums. Happy cutting.
Going to be interesting if we can put the ultrasonic and visual obstacle avoidance back on. After the last update i had to put everything to gentle touch to complete a mowing plan.
My unit have been running on the latest firmware for first full battery cycle remarkably well. It’s running on gentle contact and with vision turned on. Detects obstacles like it used to before the last update. Most notably it doesn’t ram into objects in full speed. Now it again slows down and then hits whatever is on its way.
So far so good. Haven’t noticed any unwanted extras. It’s only been about 3-4 hours running time but I’m positively hopeful.
Regarding the obstacles recognition, everything is still just fine.
However. I had now twice in a row same error message just as Yarbo was done with charging at 80% and ready to resume the work plan. Somehow it thinks that it is suspended and can’t continue the work plan. But not suspended enough that it would stop charging. So once I have thought to check the progress, opening the application I have found out that it had this error and battery is now 100% charged and it is still green so in active charging mode. Yarbo has been sitting in the middle of the charging pad the whole time and clearly no way in it could had triggered a real motion for suspended error message to actually be a real thing.
Update seems to have made detection not functional. Had issue where it tried to drive over a shrub it previously avoided without issues. Also when starting it did an immediate turn around that it previously did not do and appeared to be lost until guided back to path.
Unplug the battery cable for 5 mins and power to your DC. Plug in the DC, then plug in the battery to the core and turn it back on. Also make sure your app and firmware both are at the latest.
If this new action of the rover going haywire after a update is happening. Yarbo should be letting users know that they have to do a reboot of all equipment. They need to take this seriously, yarbo is much larger than a toy and can do serious damage.
Hi there, this hotfix includes an optimization for false obstacle detection caused by tall grass when using Moderate Bypass mode.
So if the issue you were seeing was related to tall grass being mistakenly detected as obstacles, you may notice an improvement with this update. It would be great if you could give Moderate Bypass another test run and let us know how it performs.
@Kolbe@B-Mod The speed setting issue for Pathways and Dead Ends has been fixed.
@Kolbe As for the issue where the Trimmer only works on Pathways when used with the SAM module, I’m currently confirming the details with our team. I’ll keep you updated as soon as I have more information.
