Since you can’t correct any map drift while running a plan, have it automatically correct any drift when it recharges during a plan.
That would be bad. I have a spare wireless charger in the garage and I get the drift notice when it’s charging there. It’s not drifted, just not wirelessly charging at home. Map drift correction should only ever be done during ideal and controlled conditions. The core even slightly askew on the dock can tweak the map quite a bit.
Are you experiencing actual map drift? If so, how are you confirming this?
OK, just on a DS
I’m just going by the app error message while it’s charging on a DS. The app shows that it’s not aligned right on the DS, but it’s fine.
Then it disables the resume until it is cleared. which you can’t clear during a plan.
I see. Do you have green GPS when it says it’s drifted?
@bryan.wheeler is 100% right. If your dock is placed somewhere with poor GPS (lots of trees, side of house, GPS reflections from other buildings, etc) then Yarbo might think it’s somewhere else when it is docked. Its position might wander a bit from time to time.
If what I described is happening to you, do NOT do a Correct for map drift under those circumstances. You’ll make things a lot worse cause Yarbo is not where it thinks it is.
Yeah map drift fixing is a odd thing that without knowledge of what you are doing can get you into trouble fast!
OP, do you have the pro antennas on your rover?
Well that is drift, but not much. What does your diagnostics (RTK, status, data center, and HaLow sections) look like during the drift event?
Thanks for sharing your suggestion. At the moment, we don’t have plans to add automatic map drift correction during charging.
For the issue you’re seeing, could you please share a screenshot of the Diagnostics page while your Yarbo is sitting correctly on the Docking Station? That will help us better understand what’s happening and look into it further.
If you’ve successfully corrected for map drift, there is no reason it should be continuing to do this. Those numbers look great. You should be able to stop/cancel that plan and if your core is aligned properly on the dock, correct for map drift.
That’s what I normally do, but it keeps coming back. Maybe not right away. but usually within a week.
Any correlation with what triggers this? Running a plan in a specific area, only drifts when running a plan, Power outages, reboots, etc?
That is not normal at all. I know it might be painful, but isolating when this occurs and what the diags look like at that point could help narrow this down. My first guess is a intermittently bad antenna, but it’s just a guess.

If the map drifts again, please update us through the same ticket with the approximate time it happened. That way, our team can review the relevant logs and investigate the issue as soon as it occurs.
