What are everyone’s setting for their MP1?
Curious to see how people run it.
Gentle contact mostly. 3.5 inch cut currently. 3 inch early spring and fall. Slowest speed. 4 inch overlap. Boundary obstacle avoidance disabled. 2 perimeter laps.

Ok so a fast and a slow. Interesting.
I think slow results in a better cut. I’m not trying to mow 6 acres though. So, I can be picky and I don’t care how long it takes. I also think it’s easier on the equipment.
I was mowing with Moderate Bypass and inadvertently had the sonic sensors ON-did pretty well!
By far, cutting slower will yield a cleaner cut.
But there are other variables in play, like how fast is the grass growing, how frequently is it being cut, etc.
In my case, I tend to cut at the fastest speed once we’re past the spring fast growing season.
Depends on Sun and heat. During hot days, I mow a max height to better protect from grass burn. Cooler days are 3.7 inches. Speed is medium as I mow after Sundown and want Rover to finish before I fall asleep.
Only 1/2 acre. Grass is tall fescue and super thick… I’m still experimenting to find the best setting.
I have tall fescue as well. Mowing that high, do you find that it mostly just pushed the grass over?
It does and irritating that it doesn’t cut at 4. Seems as thought 3.7 works best for the cooler periods. Any thoughts on how to avoid the laying down affect? Curious about the front guards
Supposedly they help rake it up. But the bigger issue is the deck design. The blades aren’t exposed to below the box until 2.7 and below. So without some lift with the Pro straight blades, you just can’t get a good cut until you get the blades a little further down close to the grass. I’d be curious to know if you remove the front rake and get good results. That does help guide it up onto things like roots and sidewalks, so I’d keep an eye on it.
I’m considering the test. I only have a 1/2 acre to mow. The only solid traverse are the driveways but the blades aren’t spinning at that time.
I’m ripping at 2” but have basically a weed yard here.
