My cameras seem to work better. Before the update my front camera would not work most of the time. Eventually it would start working if I exited out a few times or just gave it time. Since the update I don’t seem to have that problem anymore. Could be a coincidence but the failure was consistent until the update.
Same here. Maybe it’s because the core hasn’t been updated yet.
same here, new app, core on previous version. everything else working (control/lights)
Hi @Fishy That could happened because the Smart Vision system isn’t compatible when the app has already updated but the firmware hasn’t yet. Please keep your Yarbo online and wait for the firmware rollout. Thanks for your patience!
I also have this issue.
Is this a phased rollout? Does that even need to be a thing now that users have control of when the update is installed?
I don’t think we have the ability to update when desired. At least I don’t.
When I go to the firmware screen and click on the available update, this is what comes up. There’s no option to begin the update or delay it.
Am I the only one who saw an improvement with the cameras after the App and Firmware updates? The camera feeds load almost instantaneously now and I’m no longer getting any failed feeds. I’m just wondering if the updates fixed this or I’m just getting lucky and I’m gonna have issues again in the future.
I’m going out on a limb and say they probably fixed some things since Smart Vision is now supported while a work plan is underway.
So they definitely made some changes to that area of code.
They made improvements.
I received a prompt to install now, 2 to 5AM, or skip. I assume when your serial is allowed it will prompt you as well. Seems perplexing that this rollout would be phased when having automatic app updates enabled on your phone would break SmartVision or not updating your app and then updating the firmware (or it was automatically updated).
I wasn’t prompted. I went in to see what version I was on and it was the latest. Is there a setting to auto update/prompt?
There isn’t. I wish there was, it’s currently only a prompt. I guess like the notice said, it will be automatically installed. Perhaps you only see the prompt when the update is available but not yet installed.
I updated the app yesterday and performed a janky fix to my broken RTK antenna hoping to get testing some of the new features, and still waiting…![]()

I even put Yarbo back on the charging pad in case it needs to be on a charger to update… I’m feeling impatient, lol
Yeah being able to manually update at any time would be nice instead of waiting in line. I understand why from a support perspective they want to limit things, but I feel like if it was up to the user it would also be somewhat staged as well. Not everyone is going to rush out and check for an update and install it right away. I do, but I’m weird like that. Those with an automatic update enabled would just let it do its thing when the update was scheduled. Still staged.
@bryan.wheeler Yes, it’s a phased rollout. This helps us ensure stability and fix any issues before releasing it to everyone.
I missed that in the release notes. I see it now.
My cameras were out of service but after the firmware update overnight the cameras are fine now
I just got my update in the last few hours, 2 way audio during smart vision is awesome! I’ll be able to send Yarbo out to yell at the kids:grin:![]()
