There should be a complete lock option so nobody can connect to your Yarbo system at home including Support or anyone has access to the servers. These things roaming around with cameras and anyone at the Yarbo can connect to the system is concerning.
It’d be nice, but you’d really trust a hostile vendor to not bypass it?
If it’s truly a concern (and it may well be,) then pull the SIM card from the core, and block the DC and core at your router. Anything less requires trust.
I agree, remote access for support should be a toggle that the user enables much like all my smart appliances (TV, Fridge, Dishwasher, Washer/Dryer, etc) have. There is also way too much reliance on the cloud. You can’t even open the app without an internet connection. I would like the offline mode toggle back in the app that was there a year ago.
Hi @me1, thanks for your suggestion and we understand your concern about privacy. If more users show interest in this feature, I’ll pass it along to our product team for consideration.
Count me in for an in-app toggle. Considering how complex the Yarbo world is, I feel the default action should be “remote connectivity disabled” and users would explicitly enable the feature when needed.
Also, this feature should truly be implemented vs a GUI toggle that does nothing just to make a few feel better. ![]()
