Return Route Through Completed Area

Has there been any development or any suggestions on how to prevent Yarbo from routing through a completed area instead of following perimeter to the next pathway? Obviously, this defeats the striping benefits & is becoming a major obstacle to interested new users

I don’t think so.

But, I accidentally may have found a way.

I was trying to provide a pathway from one dead end to another dead end inside the same area, it didn’t work, but my intention was to have it do the first one and then follow my pathway which was in the perimeter path to get the next dead end.

I left the pathway and during one of my mows the end point of my mow was near the pathway I had created for the dead ends. The yarbo followed my perimeter pathway and went back to its dock. So, it only worked I think because a) the end point was practically on top of the pathway and b) the yarbo was going to a new area.

It made me think that if you knew the endpoint of your mow pattern you could create a small area and then make a pathway from that little area island to wherever you wanted it to go. I haven’t tried this yet because my mows use a lot of diamond patterns with shifting so start and end points are always moving.

Good suggestion and I’ve tried it and it was successful (on smaller mow areas). Larger mow areas that need a recharge before completion, results in the Core leaving the area (before completion) and traveling across the partially completed area/most direct route, back to the charger. Once charged, it again routes across the partially completed area to resume.

The feature to mow area or perimeter first already exists so I don’t think it’d be too difficult to add a “follow perimeter only To and From area” option, forcing the Core to hug the perimeter instead of cutting across.

Yeah, no fix for recharging mid mow which does suck.

And it seems we (the community) give a lot of suggestion that we don’t think are too difficult but the time it takes for them to be implemented would say otherwise :face_with_tongue:

Hi there, sorry that this feature is not currently available. I’ll share your interest in this idea with our product team for future consideration.

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us.
