My turn for the excessive play in the right track. The wheel rotates 45 degrees before motor engagement. There’s one full season of 4 acre mowing on a well manicured lawn without mud and debris. This wheel doesn’t have much time left before free spin and loss of right drive.
I know they’ve changed the cut of the reduction gears to be quieter, but I haven’t heard anything about design change to this component. It’s not sustainable to replace a track drive every season.
5 acres, fall of first year, so a few snows, and spring and summer lawn mowing. Way too soon. Mine was really wore out, and it locked up. This was left side, right side was just a bit tighter so they would not do both.
This is a well known failure mode. Your response does not address the design change question. I’ll infer that it hasn’t yet been addressed. This needs to be fixed. I surely hope I will not be required to purchase another replacement drive if/when this happens next year.
