Thanks for the initial observations. I hope you don’t end up needing to dig the S1 back out! It just started snowing again here. My wife said it looks like a blizzard outside! While I still don’t have my trimmer yet, I had similar concerns about the non floating design and the overall increased size of the ‘Yarbo stack’ and the impact on maneuverability. I can’t wait to smell some fresh cut grass! 🙂 ---

I agree with your points and yes we pushed really hard against the screw on design and only 1 inch increment adjustments. The refinements they iterated rather quickly were surprising and welcomed. I think it’s a great gen 1 product but unfortunately a floating design or auto fold up design when not in use wasn’t in the redesign cards for this generation. We pushed hard for that too. It still will save a ton of time for a lot of people and everyone will learn what it does well, what it doesn’t, and I look forward to the creative things people come up with to modify it or use it for. ---

Yarbo is getting the Spring prep treatment. If we do, and we won’t!, get enough snow to justify mechanical removal I’ll get the Honda out. But like I said, we’re done with snow, DONE! ---

Yarbo is getting the spring treatment today, everything but a wash, I’ll save that for a slightly warmer day. I also retired the S1 (hopefully) for the season. The warm weather here in NE Tennessee has stimulated some grass growth, so I sent it out for its maiden seasonal voyage yesterday. I did so without installing the trimmer, but will do so before the next cutting. I first need to tweak the maps. I am hoping that the trimmer also eliminates the need to use the push mower in a few areas where the tight perimeter turns are not suitable for the M1. I should mention that the M1 did a fantastic job tiding up the lawn. ---

I really love how many new entries are coming into the outdoor robotics space. Competition is good for all. That said, I would be super cautious about a company with nothing but renders and a buzz word filled website. I hope they end up being successful! Looking at their robot’s specs, it looks like more of a Luba competitor versus a Yarbo competitor. The lack of RTK indicates they are aiming for smaller suburban yards. Vision and LiDAR only robots don’t work well in large yards. Large open spaces require RTK for accuracy. ---

yes i know. but they make a trimmer. and there are still long prospects for me to receive a yarbo trimmer. am tired of manual trimming. 🤣 ---

About a week or so ago I reopened a ticket I had about trimmer delivery. I asked for a timeline and was also told it would be delivered to me before the end of April. ---

On the livestream, Ken specifically said that all Trimmer orders would be delivered by end of April. I suspect he was thinking ‘US Orders’ at the time, but he just said all orders.
