Who's ready for the snow tonight?

And definitely don’t zig when you should’ve zagged.

Coincidentally, if you zigzag with both edges allowed, it’ll cut the area in half (left side, right side in this example) and do each half separately, each starting from center and working toward an edge. “In theory” you still get straight lines. An advantage you’ll get, if needed, is a shorter throwing distance to the area’s edge when the snow is wet/heavy.

Great insights!

I was gonna post my maps for reference as well but I have the SAM on. Hahahaha
Dumb dumb.

And this is what bothers me when trying to help people (or myself) and not being able to look at all module settings unless the module is attached.

This is how I mapped the driveway. Since my throw lines don’t come all the way up to the garage, it seems to create a boundary in front of the garage where the snow is thrown down the driveway. Note: garage is at bottom of photo.

I too sheared a couple of pins this weekend, thankful for spares sent with the snow blower module. I did place an order for some additional shear pins.

Also got the tracks changed today, that was easier than I thought it was going to be, but glad I had a helper to hold the core on its side.

Exactly. I was trying to be more like @bryan.wheeler. I failed. I’ll be hooked up to S1 Tuesday!

Tuesday! That’s when the snow gets here! Tuesday is too late. I’ll be re-running my plans tomorrow for a final test.

That’s bad on the waistline.

In case anyone is interested, my snow blowing today used up a total of $0.24 in electricity.

I have zero idea how much gas a traditional snowblower uses, but I suspect it’s gotta be decently more than that!

As a side question, what is a good auger height for a good level concrete driveway with not cracks or lips?

I’d hate to wear the scraper bar out on first run.

Full down. Send it. The less you leave on the ground, the better it will work. Otherwise it can get track slippage, and high center, etc.

Do a test on a small area and modify accordingly. I don’t have mine pushed fully down, but it’s close.

When I ran the test before it let the smoke out, it would drag sporadically. I started running it through the test with it all the way up. Testing movement and watching chute and deflector movements. I’ll run some more tests tomorrow hopefully.

Calling for less than 1/2 and inch tomorrow.

But 2-4 on Tuesday.
