My Core has gone into some sort of an error state. It did a reboot by itself (or something that looked like one) then the charger started flashing blue and a red light on the core flashing once every 3 seconds. I’m not home at the moment and won’t be for a few days so got a video from the camera I set up. Anyone got any ideas? I’m running the latest version that advertised it helps with recovery from errors etc. The device is offline, I’ve tried a remote reboot of the data centre but no joy with that. I know when I get home I need to try the 60 second power button press and if not the 5 min battery disconnect but I’m kind of looking for some reassurance that it will be ok after that. I know some people report having their device bricked and needing to go back to Yarbo but I’m thinking these must be rare and so many others maybe solve such things with a reset.
Thanks in advance to anyone with some insight.
Best wishes,
Martyn
That red central light flashing typically indicates some sort of internal error. I’d submit a ticket and see if they can remote into it and restart it or get it out of the error state.
Thanks Bryan,
Can such things usually be sorted out with a restart?
I’ll submit a ticket.
Thanks,
Martyn
Depends on the situation but a cold boot often does wonders.
I’ve opened a ticket #245869 with @Yarbo-Forum
Really sorry to hear about the issue. I’ve checked your support ticket, and we’ll need some additional information from you before we can proceed with the next steps.
Please feel free to keep us updated once you’re back home and able to perform the troubleshooting steps. We’ll continue to assist you based on the information you provide.
Thanks very much, had some nice quick responses from your team, I can’t give the extra details until I’m back there tonight but I will do so right away.
Thanks again, I have my fingers crossed that a reboot when I’m back will solve the problem.
Best wishes,
Martyn
Hi All,
So I’ve got to my device physically now. Been through the troubleshooting and support are already talking about shipping a replacement. Seems the single flashing red left on the LEFT might be terminal…
Still waiting for a senior technician but not looking good so far..

Really sorry to hear about the issue. Our Support team will have an online meeting with you soon to confirm the final solution. Thank you for your patience while we work to get this resolved for you.
Thanks very much.
I cannot connect to it wirelessly, neither bluetooth, LoRa nor 4G. Does anyone know if there is the ability with the support team to connect to the USB port and re-flash firmware during my support call? Of course I won’t try this alone but keen to know if there is a solution other than the logistical nightmare of shipping it back from my second home when I am there really infrequently.
Thanks anyone who can provide any insight as to if diagnostics are possible via the USB.
Martyn
I’m betting the reason for the support call is to have you try a bunch of things to gain access or get it booted enough for some communications to work for them to get remote access. If those attempts are unsuccessful, you are probably looking at a replacement/repair.
Sorry, but we don’t support connecting through the USB port to re-flash the firmware.
Hi everyone,
So I had a video call with a nice chap called Ethan, sadly it became evident very quickly indeed that we were not going to be able to resolve it. He thinks it is a hardware issue and is sending another core to replace it.
I have to say, I am really happy with the support from Yarbo so far on this. They have been replying to my ticket really quickly and the support call was scheduled the next day. Fingers crossed for the new core.
Thanks also to people on this forum, it’s great to have the reassurance from people here too, otherwise you can feel quite alone with a faulty device that costs so much money!
Best wishes,
Martyn
