What is a “Work Plan”?
The Work Plan feature is designed to help users create their own customized yard cleaning plan.A work plan is stored along with the working areas you assign and the area settings of the Yarbo, such as speed, chute angle, and snow blower module height.
You can create multiple work plans and set specific preferences for each one. Different Yarbo modules need to be set as separate work plans.
Work Plan setting includes:
Work Plan in schedule:
You can set a Manual Schedule
This allows your Yarbo to clean your yard based on your setting time.
Adding one scheduled Work Plan:
- Name the schedule
- Select the Work Plan
- Enable it or disable it
Automatic Schedule:
If you turn on Automatically Schedules, it will be set automatically when the Yarbo detects that is rain/snow outdoors.
I’m just starting on the Yarbo journey of mapping my property. Have the blower, mower, and SAM modules. So a bit of a learning curve as I am figuring things out. Seems that these “work” plans perhaps should follow some type of naming convention as it pertains to the module and the area. For instance if the mower module is mounted and I select my driveway area, well that be pointless, so the advice for work plan names should probably include some descriptor for the module. Again I am just getting started but think maybe may be beneficial to include the pattern used in the “work” plan so one could differentiate multiple patterns for same area and help schedule so as to not mow the same pattern every time, your mileage may vary. I have ideas that perhaps it be helpful to blow certain areas before I mow, not the entire area, have not figured that out just yet. The other idea I had was changing the modules out. Keep them in the garage and manually drive the core to change, sure would be nice to be able to schedule that with a plan….
Glad to see that you are getting familiar with your Yarbo!
Adding descriptors to the work plan is a great idea! It would definitely help to differentiate between modules and areas, making the process much more efficient. Additionally, the idea of allowing different patterns for the same area in the work plan is a fantastic feature that could really add flexibility. We’ll make sure to pass your suggestions along to our app department for consideration.
For areas with a lot of debris, blowing it first is a great approach to ensure a smoother mowing process. As for changing modules, you’re right – currently, you would need to manually drive it to switch them out.
Thanks again for sharing your ideas with us! If you have any more thoughts or need further assistance, feel free to reach out.
I name my work plans Mow Back Yard, Snow Blow Front Driveway, etc. I think some sort of pattern/shading/color on the areas might also help distinguish the different seasons/modules. But, I would also like to have all modules settings available at all times so that I could tweak them no matter what module is attached. As for selecting your driveway if the mower/SAM is attached, well you could potentially use that module to test run your snow blower plan without having to go haul out the snow blower and attach it. Additionally, if you attached the blower and selected the driveway, well then it makes sense to be able to blow off the driveway.
