Slope mode annoyance

Hopefully you get caught up soon!

I was hoping to get the back brace mount to make up some rear ballast for Yarbo but they aren’t shipping until March. Some people have had luck putting tube sand on the top of the unit or zip tying weights to the handles. If you’re dealing with wet snow it can get caught up on the bottom front part of the unit where the 2 aluminum blocks and the anti-static chain hang. I’ve had to tip the unit onto the front of the blower to clean it off to get mobility back. Slope mode has been too unreliable for me, I made some sidewalks to pre-clean the corners of the areas I’m trying to clear but if the sidewalk is long it can struggle to reverse. You almost need a series of short angled sidewalks similar looking to the fletching on an arrow😅. Also having an area extend past where you need to blow into a cleared area or overlapping areas might help it do zero turns, which many agree need to be changed for snow blowing.

Yeah, effectively I’ve been doing that crows-foot thing at the end of the drive to blast through the windrow from the county plow. I made one path through tonight! LOL

Temperature has dropped to -12 and still dropping, so the snow has become light and powdery. Makes a huge difference. But more’s falling now LOL

Did 4 sessions today driving Yarbo like a videogame, enough to try an automated plan in one area and see where it gets stuck. Also need to blast through the rest of the way onto the road. That’s a night-time activity though, too much traffic during the day.

Actually had someone stop, back up, and ask about Yarbo! He knew what it was, lives in the next town over. Pretty cool! I’m sure we’ll chat more soon.

Why is this the starting point? It can’t blow the snow where it’s needed?

I’m guessing clearing a path to work first.

It should start from further to the right, then as it traverses the angle towards the corner the chute could be aimed where the snow throw direction is

Baby steps. Got to get the chute to point to the throw area at all times (whenever possible) first.
