It would often be very helpful if Yarbo’s snowplow could clear snow in one direction only, then reverse back, and then clear the next pass. Similar to a leaf blower. Would this be feasible, and would anyone else be interested?
Thanks for sharing the idea. We understand your interest in this feature, and we’ve forwarded it to our product team for consideration.
Yes! I have been really enjoying the snowplow (better than the snowblower in my opinion).
But yes, first day trying it with a good amount of snow and I realized the problem. One of our vehicles would have an issue with this. Especially if it went on longer than one day.
A hacks work around is to use Slope mode and disable the auger. It will plow the direction of the slope. Then you need some follow up sidewalks to clear depending on that slope
I think this feature would be very helpful! I hope the developers can add this function soon. Seems like a great idea!
Good idea. Also I just want to confirm. It was my first time using the plow this past weekend. I could not adjust the overlap or the speed on the plowing mode. Is this correct?
You should be able to. Here is a wiki article on plow mode. Speed would be in area settings too. How to use plow mode? | Yarbo Wiki
Thanks Brian. Maybe I was not clear in my question. Originally, I was able to go to area setting and change the setting. However, Yarbo was not showing any difference and continued working based on the initial setting. I will try this again maybe next year. Now confirmed.
you started a new work plan after changing the settings.
No. I used the same work plan for the old snow blower on the driveway. It did work and the plow was pushing to each side of the driveway
paused and made a change and started again. or start a new one after change.
@emad1996 I noticed this too. It’s like it’s running on the middle setting regardless of what overlap you changed it too. Is that what you experienced?
Yes. It did not respond to the changes I made
Thanks. I will try this trick.
