Prevent compaction. Same path every time will give you compaction. Unless I missed something.

There are only so many rotations before you end up back into the same lines. Shifting the tracks over into the center of where it was cutting previously is what they are attempting to do here. Basically adding more distribution to the track lanes. More evenly traveling across the whole lawn, vs o…

I noticed right away that it couldn’t be used for Checkboard. It sorta makes sense. As soon you start shifting, you’ll wipe out the intended pattern. If I see a wear pattern developing, I just change it 10 degrees.

Yes it confused me too and I went and double checked what they said on someone’s FB post this morning. They definitely need to refine the description but it’s a step in the right direction. At least there is a description!
