If I use it in that manner, then I would need to schedule a task for the next day, correct? Currently, I’m only mowing every 3 days.
Yes you would, but it would finish the task on the next scheduled day too. If you know it will take 2 days to complete, then I would schedule it for the next day too. If you don’t know, then it will certainly get it on the next scheduled job or if you hit resume.
That addresses the what you can do now. Agreed that it should just have working hours and complete automatically the next day (optionally).
This was my original post:
“I recommend implementing a “Work Period Restriction Option” that allows users to restrict operation of the Yarbo to specific hours (e.g., no working between 8:00 PM and 8:00 AM). If a task is not completed by restriction period, the mower should automatically return to the charger and wait until the following morning’s start time to resume. This would function similarly to the current behavior triggered when the battery reaches the 20% level. Some of your users like myself live in an HOA (Home Owners Association). I am not permitted to mow the lawn of use any lawn or other machinery after 8 PM. The other brand of robotic mower I use has this feature”
To compensate and get the workaround, I’m understanding I would need to create an additional task/plan scheduled for the following morning. Otherwise, the remaining un-mowed lawn would not be mowed until the next scheduled mow, which could be 3-4 days late.
I’ve previously shared this suggestion with our product team. Based on their current evaluation, the “Next Run Behavior” feature is what we offer for now to help manage unfinished tasks.
That said, I completely understand your need for a “quiet hours” or restricted operating time feature—especially with HOA requirements. It’s a very valid and practical use case. I’ll continue to monitor similar feedback from other users, and if there’s broader interest, I’ll make sure to bring it up again with our team for further consideration.
Thanks again for taking the time to share this—it’s genuinely valuable feedback.
I’m a bit confused about how to set up “Next Run Behavior” and could use some clarification. I mow my lawn twice a week, on Monday and Thursday, and since the lawn takes two days to finish each time, I’m not sure whether to handle this with one schedule or two.
Option one would be a single schedule that runs Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, with “Next Run Behavior” set to “Resume Next Time.” The idea is that Tuesday would pick up where Monday left off, and Friday would pick up where Thursday left off. When the schedule then comes around again the following Monday and Thursday, there shouldn’t be any plan in progress, so I’d expect it to start fresh from the beginning. Am I reading that right?
Option two would be two separate schedules. Schedule 1 would run Monday and Thursday with “Next Run Behavior” set to “Resume Next Time,” and Schedule 2 would run Tuesday and Friday with “Next Run Behavior” set to “Start Over Next Time.”
Which approach is the intended way to handle a two-day mowing cycle, and is there any practical difference in how the mower behaves between the two setups?
Thanks
Roger
You have it correct. I believe this is the intended way.
You can set it up using your Option 1, and your Yarbo should be able to work as you intended.
