So, after listening to all the suggestions and recommendations from forum members I decided to relocate my DC. It worked! My Yarbo snowblower functioned flawlessly and did exactly what it is supposed to do. I was totally impressed. So, it was user error on my part from my earlier post; however my opinion remains that Yarbo is not for novices if you’re not tech savvy. It requires a steep learning curve and everything has to be installed correctly for it to work properly. One unfortunate update, after it cleared about 60% of my driveway it went back to recharge and sheared my DC cable that I had on my lawn. Totally my fault. The auger clipped it in half so I now have to replace the cable. I purchased flat Cat6 cable and will bury it in my lawn to avoid any future problems. But, otherwise I’m very happy that the unit worked as intended.
Hey. Thank you for the great news. Congratulations on the success with your Yarbo!
Many of us have been in your shoes, fighting to get Yarbo to work. Thankfully this little community exists and we are able to all learn from each other and provide guidance when needed.
Sorry to hear about the cut DC cable though. Thank goodness it’s only standard Ethernet. Imagine if it was some proprietary cable instead!
Glad you had a successful plan! Murphy of course showed up for the DC cable. Him and his laws…
For the replacement cable, make sure it is shielded and outdoor rated. The flat one probably won’t seal well in the weather grommet on the bottom of the DC. If you reach out to support, they’d probably just send you a replacement cable. Your ordered replacement could be temporary until you get a replacement factory one. Just a thought.
Glad its working. And sorry to hear about the ethernet cable. As Bryan said, create a ticket. The worst they can say is no.
Glad to hear your Yarbo is working well now
