It would be nice to set the Checkerboard or Diamond pattern to do all required passes automatically instead of having to restart an area for successive passes. For example, Checkerboard first cuts an area with parallel cuts and closes the work plan. Then, the user restarts the work plan and Yarbo cuts parallel at a 90 degree angle to the first work plan cut. It would be nice if the checkerboard could be set to do both cuts without having to be restarted.

At the moment, we don’t have plans to change this logic. We do understand that having both passes run automatically could be more convenient to achieve your desired lawn effect. However, there are also users who prefer not to have the mower run twice within a single work plan.
A simple compromise could be an optional ‘Run twice’ checkbox in the area’s settings, similar to the one we have for the snowblower.
If checked, both checkerboard directions would be run at once. If not, only one direction at a time is run.
In the current logic, it actually wouldn’t. The plan has to reach 100% and when it ends it adds 90 degrees to the route rotation. If it was run twice, it wouldn’t do this until after doing the same pattern twice. I guess they could tweak that logic. Not sure how easy that would be. But for now they could schedule the mow back to back. Or Yarbo could allow adding the same area twice to work plans. That might be the easier compromise.
