Control Yarbo from a second device?

It is possible to load and activate the Yarbo app on a second device, like a laptop or another phone? That will allow me to control my mower even if I leave my phone somewhere. I can already feel the panic for when this happens.

For the Apple ecosystem this is extremely simple. The iOS app works on iPad and MacOS. Just load it and use it. You can actually use both simultaneosly. I’ve found this extremely helpful for using the remote control on the phone and watching the map on the computer or making settings changes, etc while having the app at the working screen on the other device.

For Windows and Android ecosystem, you can use BlueStacks to emulate the Android app on a computer. Works on MacOS too. You used to be able to install Android apps on Windows but I think they deprecated that feature.

Bottom line is, yes you can have it on as many devices as you like. Apple devices is extremely easy. Windows you need an emulator.

This is possible in Windows using ‘Phone Link’. I think in Win 10 you had to manually install it and it comes pre-installed with Win 11. I could be wrong on that but either way it’s available for free from Microsoft.
Microsoft Phone Link

I don’t see apps listed for phone link, just texts, calls, photos, and a few other similarly related tasks. Microsoft had an Android emulator that you could install a while back, but they deprecated it. Have you used phone link to run the Yarbo app? That would be a nice native solution if so. I have Apple devices, so it’s very easy for me.

It is embedded into Win 11 and I know I downloaded from I believe the Microsoft Store when I was running Win 10 but now I can’t find it either. Could be because I am on Win 11.

I should have clarified how Phone Link actually works in my original post; I think I gave the wrong impression. This is not an Android emulator. What it does is allows screen casting from your phone to your computer. So although you can cast an app (Including the Yarbo app) to your computer and control the app from there it will not allow you to run a separate instance of the app. So ultimately it won’t do what you were suggesting which is to run two instances of the app. I have used it to control the rover from my computer but only while my phone is within Bluetooth range with Phone Link running.

I apologize for sending the wrong impression :frowning:

All good, app casting is a cool feature too.
