Agreed, but even pathways it does what it wants. Hence this suggestion:

Strict Pathway Adherence Mode

Original pathway logic followed strict adherence to keeping the rover within the pathway and only entering and exiting where the pathway starts and ends. At some point, this requirement was lifted and now the rover can enter and exit at any point along a pathway that is within a mapped area. I submit that this can be unexpected and lead to dangerous situations. If the end user is expecting the intuitive behavior of sticking to the safe corridor, they may be surprised when it deviates.
