I have a question regarding the durability of the collision sensors built into the bumper of the mower module.
When replacing the mower blades, I need to tilt the unit on its side. I am concerned that keeping the bumper pressed against the ground during this process might damage the sensors. Could you please let me know if the bumper is designed to withstand this kind of pressure, or if there is a recommended way to position the unit during blade replacement to avoid potential sensor issues?
Even with the support stand in place, the side bumpers are still touching the floor. Should I be worried about the sensors getting damaged? I hope I’m just overthinking this.
Definitely overthinking it. You don’t want to store the mower on its side long term but it is totally fine for temporary maintenance. They are decently robust. I don’t use the stand. I usually just prop it up against the front of the core out in the yard taking care to keep it away from the antennas.
