The “Follow me” feature should be able to follow a motorized wheelchair.
@Yarbo-Forum I think it might be useful to leverage something like BLE beacons to the Yarbo app and keep a set distance from the phone (IE person) as an alternative to vision model training. Just a thought. This could be useful for this situation or potentially others.
Thanks for sharing this suggestion. I’ll pass it along to our product team for consideration, as it could help make the “Follow Me” feature more useful in a wider range of situations.
I think Bryan’s idea is extremely doable and smart, relying on just the cameras for follow me mode, at least in my case has ended poorly almost every time. Though I do understand it’s Beta, so I’m not mad..
UWB would be ideal…I’m not sure BLE has as good of accuracy…although it could just follow the phone.
Oh interesting Bluetooth 6 might be workable, does the Yarbo have compatible hardware?
UWB and BT 6 isn’t on all devices, but there’s no reason it could not be used in conjunction with the cameras as sort of an obstacle avoidance (IE Stop) if it gets too close to something. RTK and the Find My service could be leveraged as well. Sensor fusion if you will.
