Has there been any consideration to the development to VUI (Voice User Interface) with AI on the machine. It would be great to interact and control the machine with a simple AI speech interface command. “Yarbo. Follow me” and the machine locates the person in the field of view and locks on. “Yarbo. Stay here.” and the machine stops following the person in view. “Yarbo. Mow Area X”. Etc. Are we there yet and did I miss the memo or am I about 20 years into dream future? I have used follow-me mode, but most of these processes require a smartphone or controller in-hand.
Hi there, thanks for sharing this idea — it’s a really interesting use case.
At the moment, we don’t have any plans to introduce a voice user interface like this. That said, it’s a great suggestion, and if we see more interest from other users as well, I’d be happy to pass it along to our product team for further consideration.
Appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts!
Something like that will be easy to do once yarbo releases the API “next month”.
It’s got a microphone, so it’s already listening. If the API allows access to that audio, you could ask it to get you a beer.
