Ability to just tell mower to go to a specific waypoint. Would love this for multiple things including maintenance, getting my cart near its dump location, to start follow me mode, getting to a place I would hookup a towable etc.
This is exactly what I had in mind when the Waypoints feature was initially announced.
And Waypoints needs to be an available feature for every module. Not just the SAM module.
Yes agreed for all modules. Mostly I want this for general maintenance, clean out grass, maybe snow, unit prep, etc. as a bonus it would be amazing in mapping to create straight lines in map edits. In general I would like to just tell the unit to go to a certain place so it will be in the vicinity of planned work. Even if it were to say a manual mow for some cleanup…attached module certainly should not matter. Thank you for this as I probably should have clarified.
I doubt they’ll allow it for mapping because it will need to be within a mapped area and going to a mapped area to know how to safely get there. But I agree that this would be perfect for all modules. As for mapping, you can do some direct editing in the app and firmware now with your fingers. Haven’t tried it yet, I’m sure it has its limitations.

Indeed still want the waypoint feature, I’m lazy and do not want to go to Yarbo or drive it for what seems to be an eternity to me. In practice it is no that long, but it feels that way and this just feels like a do able thing.
Need more info here….. with the removal of the enforced 4 inch border. I should be able to get closer to the fence now, but the map needs a little tweaking.
I believe @rcguymike has tried it. I know they will do a feature write up on all the new features sometime soon too.
I did notice I can clear all the way to the edges with slope mode! It runs 1 extra pass on each side

Agree, go to point on a map would be huge! I’ve always complained about having to drive it all the way around my house just to do maintenance since it’s slow. Even if I can select just a point on the already made area
I agree. What I do is usually just start a work plan for the area I want it to go to and then stop it when it gets there. Crude work around for now, but effective.
Might as well create a super small work area at the location you want and start that.
It’s a terrible work around but hey… what else do we have?
Seems pretty obvious that Waypoints should be a list of saved locations (also ad-hoc pin drops) where the Yarbo will automatically navigate to the dropped location without bumping into anything. I think this is such a needed feature.
Maybe it’ll be included with Tow Mode?? I could see them waiting until the tow mode planning system works properly because lots of folks would use Waypoints to pull a lawn implement or a garden cart or something. Can’t have Yarbo backing up or zero turning…
