Didn’t find something like this but would be a cool feature:
Option to define not an area but a track to be mown.
So I would be possible to mow some figures (smilies, hearts etc) with specific gras height. Or something like waypoint mode, where yarbo will mow along defined waypoints / or tracks
This sounds like a really cool idea and would definitely make the lawn look great! We will pass your suggestion along to our product team. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
… or refining Vision, improving the scheduler, updating the App UX to be slick AF, improving GPS and network, fixing winter vs. summer maps, varying Pathways to avoid creating tracks over time, working out any latent hardware issues showing up in the field, improving mowing discs, “gate” mode, Tow Mode and “Go to Waypoint,” people/pet detection across modules, …
Sigh, ohhhh, I dunno, which should Yarbo focus on?
(IIRC the Yarbo folks have answered this in the past and said it’s being worked, as it’s a promised feature. I give Yarbo the permission to un-promise it and fix my Bluetooth connection on my Note 9 OR my winter-summer map nightmare. Either one. Nah, BOTH! )
If I were to mow a message to those who might satellite photo my property might get me arrested, so I’ll avoid doing that.
When I mapped originally it took a day to map about 9 work areas covering approx. 3 acres. My original DC was defective and when they finally got around to sending my replacement, I ended up having to remap, I know they say no. On the original mapping my boundaries were all wavy from walking with the rover. I remapped all 3 acres in about 1 hour by loading the core in the back of our gator… Borders are nice and straight and saved many hours of remapping.
I was wondering if you could map by dragging the rover around in a cart instead of driving it. I just never tried it. Looks like the answer is YES. Thanks, @doug1!
Yes, I did suggest hauling the rover around on a cart to do mapping in an answer to one post, and I thought someone was going to try it, but I never saw the follow-up. I haven’t seen anyone else try it 'til now, that I recall anyway.
I put brand new tubes and tires on a small old cart (that cost almost as much as a new cart) to get ready to try this myself, and the GF immediately stole the cart for her gardening. When I saw a clammy hand fall out from under the tarp covering whatever she was pulling around on the thing, I figured she was into some serious gardening and shouldn’t be disturbed, so I quietly walked away and gave up on the experiment.
