Interesting GPS Numbers While Inside Garage

Sounds like these need to be the standard RTK antennas they ship with then. Better gain, better numbers, and built like a tank.

Wait, there’s new RTKs? Or just the flexy mounts?

They are testing new ones on people with severe GPS problems.

Can you do some A/B testing?
Capture the RTK stats with the new antennas, then swap them for the old ones and capture the data. Then swap back to the new ones again, and capture that as well. All with Yarbo in exactly the same spot.

Let’s see the data!!

Great, more goodies I’ll have to buy:sweat_smile::sweat_smile::sweat_smile:, was contemplating the Amazon/AliExpress ones that were being posted. I have at least 2 areas that often need me to intervene to mow

I’m holding out for the ā€œofficialā€ version.

@mike1 did you put one on the DC?

Unfortunately, I do not. I did try some really expensive ones and got decent CNR values on the DC but didn’t notice any difference on the rover. At least not that I can see that is exposed in the diagnostics.

I’m tempted to put it on the DC as well and see what numbers pop up. My CNRs highest I have seen are like 44-45.

That’s really good. Your DC CNRs looked good.

I know you have told me too that GAL Sats CNRs are zero and that’s fine. Buuuuuuut I can see so many so why the heck aren’t they being used? Doesn’t make sense. I opened a ticket and they weren’t really responding to the question. I wanted to get an answer as to if it should be zero or not. Didn’t really get a straight answer. I see the GAL CNRs sometimes but never for any real meaningful time. So it seems to register so why isn’t it consistent like the other constellations.

This is my mission. Hahaha

It’s going to depend on where you are in the world and where the satellites are. My guess is the GAL is going to be more concentrated in Europe. I’ve seen people with satellite totals in the 50’s. They have to be closer to all the constellations. In theory it should use whatever is common to both the DC and Rover with good numbers/quality. Would love a straight answer here too. I couldn’t get one either.

I don’t need to do A/B testing - old antenna made the unit so unusable it failed 8/10 times using. it. The new seem to be fine so far.

No - I did not put any on the DC - I have never had any issues with that, or at least none that I am aware of. I only replaced the two on the core that Yarbo sent - same as the ones you picked up online after I posted the images I think.
