I’m about to set everything up for my Mower Pro and wanted to get some guidance before I start. I have a fairly large yard (about 2.7 acres) and want to make sure I approach the setup the right way.
A couple of questions:
Is it possible to map the entire property first and then divide it into separate zones within the app? If so, could someone walk me through the exact steps?
If that’s not the right approach:
Should I create each area individually and slightly overlap them to establish boundaries between zones? My Yarbo is currently stationed in my shed and already on the lawn, so I don’t really have a defined pathway—what’s the best way to handle that?
I would map them individually and slightly overlap. Just be sure to put pathways between the areas so that the Yarbo knows where it is safe to cross the boundary. Be sure pathways are 3 ft into an area and start 3 ft in on the other area. Make sure it doesn’t start or end in the overlap and extends the 3ft past it.
For a larger yard like yours, we’d recommend dividing the lawn into separate areas and mapping them individually. This approach usually provides more flexibility when managing different sections.
You can refer to Bryan’s suggestion above for some helpful pathway mapping tips.
