Power Reserve “Sleep Mode”

If unit stalls (such as frequently while awaiting GPS recovery) requiring intervention, automatically initiate a “sleep” power reserve mode at 20%, along with an audible PUSH notification AND text prompting intervention to prevent full battery drain from occurring.

It is indeed hard to get back to the pad when the battery is dead.

At least with the extra charging cord you only have to carry the battery.

Please explain Ken. My wired charger (circular 2-prong connector) is not compatible with my battery (pyramidal multi-prong receiver plug.).

I’ve only been able to connect my wired charger to the Core via the rear outlet, not directly to the battery.

Do you have a different setup? How are you able to remove and charge the battery (only)?

Thanks

Turk,

I love the idea of an automatic shutdown to leave some battery power in reserve with push notifications sent prior to the shutdown. However, I suggest the Yarbo automatically hybernate (shutdown) at say either 10% or 15%, if for some reason the Yarbo has not returned to its pad because the Yarbo already returns to the pad when the battery has discharged to 20%.

Then, should you have to go on a rescue mission, the Yarbo would need to be restarted with the power button, and then there would be enough battery power at the 10% or 15% level for you to manually move the Yarbo as appropriate. Wheel barrel not required.

Best regards,

Alvin

I would suggest it be configurable. I personally would want it to auto shutdown at 5%.

Bryan…I like it! Configurable is even better.

Thanks for the useful suggestion. I’ve also reviewed all the ideas shared in this thread and summarized them as a feature request for our team to consider internally.

That said, this particular feature is unlikely to be developed in the short term, as it’s currently a lower priority compared with other ongoing items.

We really appreciate you taking the time to think this through and share it with us.
