Replace RTK wire on antenna 2023 core

Have an old 23 core that I wanted to get into service again for a friend. The rtk antenna wire came out of its end while trying to transport (didn’t know the antenna didn’t unscrew) any ideas how to fix this?

Can you open the 23 core body and run a new SBA antenna? Or will we have to try to recrimp the end of the antenna the existing wire?

Have you reached out to support? They can probably assist you with a repair or replacement.

Hi there, as we discussed in your support ticket, the RTK antennas on the 2023 version machines are not designed to be serviceable, so normally a full machine replacement would be issued. Because of that, I’m not sure there’s any other reliable fix for the damaged antenna wire. Our field service engineer will continue to follow up with you on this. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

Yeah support was kinda like ‘can’t fix it’ & can’t replace, which I get that it’s older. Just seemed so odd that it acts like a part that can be removed (as it’s just a screw on antenna) and the resistance to it coming off could easily be “locktite” to protect it from loosening on it’s own.

Was trying to remove it for transport since the antennas easily get broken from impact. I just didin’t expect it to be so different than the 24 model in that regard.

I did buy a crimping tool for the fitting, so thats what I guess we will try. It’s more of getting it connected to the antenna.
