RTK Antenna Broke Off

the RTK antenna was knocked off in the last mow. When it went off it broke the screw in rivet. I have contacted Yarbo but they are “Investigating” it. It is frustrating as i am comfortable paying for replacement parts but they will not discuss it with me. Has anyone else had this issue?

With mowing season only just starting, the number of people reporting torn off RTK antennas is rising.
They need to adress this issue immediately, and redesign the antennas. It’s amazing how easy these little plustic stubs break off. Easiest is to get them from eg aliexpress, they are just off the shelf items.

They investigate it to see if it was a bug or something that caused the issue outside of your control. They also ensure that they provide a fix in the event that the cable needs replaced as well. Support will work with you on it and given that stock of most parts right now is out, placing an order on their website would probably just add delay. Support is going to be your best bet right now. However, I do recommend buying some extras to have on hand. https://www.yarbo.com/accessories

I decided to model up my own and 3D print them. I started with a similar design as the original but ended up adding three ribs on the outside to give it some rigidity. So they work great and if they break I’ll just print more.

@Michael - Wow. A+ on a very smart looking and very functional design.

Was thinking about some kind of protection for the RTK antennas one could slide over them and somehow attach. Your idea of the ribs, maybe something that could be mostly open and slid over the antenna barrels themselves and screwed down (or Velcro) atop the low mount or somehow attached to the higher mount. A low branch might have a bigger chance of being brushed aside if there’s a little bit of ribbage protecting the antenna.

I was thinking of seeing if my no longer used snowblower grate could be attached across the top of the rover to protect the RTK antennas. Or something like that. Just to brush aside branches.

Assuming any of this this won’t interfere with the signal, of course.

Very good work. Would you be so kind as to share the STL file? Thanks in advance!

Yes of course I’d be happy too! I’m on the road today and will be able to post it tomorrow evening. I think the easiest way will be to put it in my printables.com page and supply the link here to it for easy download. Standby and I’ll get it up tomorrow.

This happened to me today. Exactly the same but mine broke when Yarbo went under my suv and lodged under the fender. Broke the wire and plastic housing. Got the same from customer service. They will investigate. This is the first day I used the machine and I’m already out

Broke another.. Ordered more RTK antennas and Yarbo just never sent them. I also noticed that if i order them now they are 2x the price.

Tariffs are the reason for the price increase and restocking of the warehouse is why it’s taking some time. If you ordered before April 8th you should have the order by now or in the next few days. Support could tell you the status. If you ordered after, it’s the end of the month I believe, or around 30-45 days from the date of the order if I am not mistaken.

I had the Halo antenna break off yesterday. Well luckily it didn’t break off the connectors, just popped the antenna off and banged up the threads a little. It looks like it backed under one of my trailers in the yard when turning around. Scrapped the crap out of the battery cover as well. I didn’t notice this was off at first until it wasn’t working right today when I was mowing another section of the yard. I went to figure out why it wasn’t moving and stuck in a “Planning” mode and noticed the antenna was gone. Luckily, I found it in the yard under the trailer and with a little luck I was able to screw it back on. It would also be nice to figure out how to make this a little more resiliant.

We’re sorry to hear about the issue. Regarding the accessory pricing — the recent increase is due to changes in tariffs, which unfortunately affected our costs.

As for the antenna delivery, we sincerely apologize for the delay. We’ve contacted our logistics team and asked them to prioritize your two orders to ensure they’re shipped as soon as possible.

We truly appreciate your patience and understanding.
