I would like the ability to use target height in reverse. I mow my lawn shorter in the cooler months and leave it longer in the summer months. It would be nice to be able to step up gradually to my desired target height.
Additionally, having this as two sliders for min and max height would be ideal with a slider for the next cutting height selector. This is so you can see what the next cut height would be and override it without canceling the entire process like adjusting cutting height now currently does.
The target height feature is currently designed to gradually reach the desired cutting height over five mowing sessions to help minimize stress on the grass. Regarding your idea of using the target height in reverse, it sounds like you’re aiming to adjust mowing height seasonally — mowing shorter in cooler months and gradually increasing it for summer. That’s a great point, and we’ll share this feedback with our team for further evaluation.
As for the slider control for min, max, and next cut height, we’ll pass this suggestion along to our product team as well. It’s a thoughtful idea that could help improve flexibility without interrupting the mowing process.
Much like the snow forecast on the S1, I wonder if the height could be scaled based on the that day’s temperature forecast. Or the average of the next 3 days or something.
The UI would need a checkbox to enable the behavior,
A double-slider (from-to) for the min height and max height,
A double-slider (from-to) for the min temperature and max temperature.
Cutting height would just be the % between the two, down to / up to min or max.
