S1 down

Yarbo isn’t going to get to play this weekend, poor guy😅

Wonder if I set up a patrol route to run nearly constantly it could just pack the snow down? :joy:

Oh and context…

Google Photos

New unit is on the way, ETA 7-10 days…

Bummer. Hopefully they deliver your new S1 on time.

Too bad we aren’t closer. I’d loan you mine.

Looks like you probably sheared a set screw in the pulley….. unless the pulley is pined to the shaft… which would be worse

Though…. regarding the loctite discussion I had on one of my threads… it might also be the case if the pulley is keyed with set screws, that maybe the screw has just backed itself out.

It looks like you have enough access there under the pulley, if it is secured with set screws, you may be able to get in there with a ball end allen key, re-secure the pulley, and at least temporarily get yourself back up and running.

Either way, still a valid warranty claim under parts and labor.

Seen a few of these, probably a broken motor shaft.

…. :open_mouth: ok… THAT’S impressive.

How do you like the Greenworks 2 stage?

I have the big Ryobi 24” 2 stage rechargeable that holds four big 40v 12ah batteries. I love it! Tons of power and the batteries last forever!

But my goal is to not touch it anymore thanks to Yarbo. So far so good.

The Greenworks 2 stage is epic. The hub drive motors take a little to get used too but they’re super easy to maneuver and it’s got plenty of power. Overall design could use a little bit beefier metal for the augers and bucket but it’s overall performance is probably better than the Ariens SHO. I’m never getting gas OPE again. The single stage is really good for light snows and really fast under ~5”, it can handle most of our snowfalls but the 2 stage is so easy to maneuver I prefer it.

Same here - never going back to gas! I’ve replaced all of my lawn equipment with rechargeable electric. No more gas cans for me!!

~4”ish more by tomorrow morning

Hopefully I can find Yarbo once the replacement gets here :sweat_smile::sweat_smile::sweat_smile::sweat_smile::joy:

Poor lil guy. At least put a tarp on it & shield it from all the snow….

Oh dear…. any room in the garage?

I might drive him to the garage now that I have a couple days of dormant power usage logged😅
