So the snowblower worked yesterday great. Now today it has the sound that it wants the auger to work and it’s no longer spinning at all. Tried the controller. Tried everything. Shear pins are fine. Don’t tell me some belt or something is broken. When I spin it manually it moves so it’s not stuck
Can you record a video that shows what you’re seeing and hearing ?
And how are you manually turning the auger?
It’s his belt. Worked with him in DM on this.
Should I order a spare belt?
Did his belt break that quickly??
It does happen. Rare, but I’ve seen a few. It’s not a part that can be ordered yet, but it will be covered under warranty. Would be nice if you could order parts like this (and many others).
So I have to wait until it breaks, create a ticket and wait for the part to ship to my house? That sounds like a pretty bad deal when the snow is flying….
You could look at the belt now and find an appropriate 3rd party replacement now…
(And tell us what you find so I can order one too!)
Hopefully someone has already spied a usable replacement and will post it here. ![]()
Hi there, I’m sorry for the inconvenience this issue has caused. I checked your case in our system and it looks like the problem was caused by a broken belt. Our support team will follow up with you to arrange a replacement. We appreciate your patience while we get the replacement sent out to you.
@Yarbo-Forum could you please have the belt added to the store or provide some specs so a spare can be purchased?
Thanks in advance.
@ken.w.gregory asked the best question I think of all on this - has anyone measured the belt? While the shear pins are non-standard size at 4.9mm vs 1/4 inch that all other US snowblowers are, the belt on the other hand could not be. Every size and shape belt is available here, usually right at the local automotive store. I could buy the Husqvarna belt for my 61” zero turn for $98 from them or get a better version for $6 down the road. I cannot image the same is not true in this case.
very same thing is happening with mine!!!
Please follow up with me as well, the same thing happened…are there instructions about how to replace the belt (is this a wire belt or a rubber belt? not sure what I am looking for!)
The belt is on the back of the module. It is greyish in color. Check your shear pins first though. The auger shouldn’t free spin easily by hand. If it does, then the shear pins might be busted.
@ken.w.gregory Hi there, thanks for the suggestion! At the moment, the belt isn’t classified as a consumable part, so we don’t plan to list it in the store for now. However, I’ll share your request with our team for future consideration.
As for the belt specification, it uses an S5M-515 timing belt.
Hi there, please submit a support ticket and include detailed information along with photos or videos of the issue. Our team will help investigate and confirm whether it has the same root cause. If it does, we’ll proceed with the replacement process and provide all the instructions you need.
Thanks for your cooperation!
I went through local automotive parts store. Exactly the same belt was 4 euros and 70 cents
I see multiple widths when searching that part number, is it incomplete? Maybe 150-S5M-515?
Another nice thing with being on the Yarbo store eventually is for those of us that have the shorter warranty, but got the store credit we can use that to get replacement parts. I wish I could have used my credit for the flexy antennas and track grease…spare pair of mower Pro blades would be nice too
