S1 Maintenance

@Yarbo-Forum I saw on your YouTube Maintenance Channel an ice/snow cover for the S1 around the shoot designed to be used while in operation. Is that still available or did that prove to be ineffective? Can we still get one? Also do you have the paint pen still available? Is there a paint you recommend if not? I have some paint on the outside frame missing I would like to cover to abate the rust and also touch up the impeller.

Is this cover still being utilized? Was designed for operation or for when the Yarbo is inactive?

I’m not 100% certain but I think I recall hearing that they found it ineffective and pulled it. They have full module covers for storage instead. Haven’t ever seen the maintenance kit in the store either so I also think that was something that got scrapped.

Where was that cover designed to go? I’m trying to imagine where it would be placed while Yarbo is being used.

I believe it worked like the mower rubber boot

Oh. Interesting. Thanks. So far, I haven’t seen any need for such a thing on my Yarbo.

Yeah I have the storage cover. I dig how they try to make adjustments. I like to see what made it and what got rejected from the proposed implementation. Kinda cool.

I really like the rapid iteration in their hardware. It’s pretty similar to what Tesla does.

Agreed. I just wish they’d advertise it more. Love to know all the good stuff they are doing.

Plus I kinda wish some of the technical nerds had access to an open information/interface platform so we (the nerd community) could front run some of the production ideas as we see with the 3D printer nerds.

Like a battery cover bump out modification with a fan allowing us access additional power. I’m know we have danced this dance here.
I’m a wisher

Thanks for your questions!

The snow cover around the S1 chute was designed for the 2023 version and is not used on the 2024 version.

As for the paint pen, you can use a standard automotive touch-up paint pen. That should work well for covering exposed areas on the outer frame to help prevent rust, as well as for minor touch-ups on the impeller.

Hope this helps!
