Scheduled runs of lawn mower deny the laws of physics

The last 2 mornings, our lawn mower has completed the scheduled task of mowing approximately 5,000 sq ft in just minutes!

Actually, I don’t know what it did, but it sure didn’t mow the lawn.

The middle run was manually kicked off, the other two in the screen shot were the scheduled tasks.

Anyone else seen this behavior? It used to work reliably.

I opened ticket 220486

There is a thread on here with the same issue. Maybe about a month back.

Delete your work plans that are having issues and recreate them. See if that helps solve it.

Hi there, please try Bryan’s suggestion and see if it helps resolve the issue.

If the issue still persists, please update your support ticket and provide the requested information from our latest reply. Our support team will continue investigating the issue and provide further assistance.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Ok,

  1. I deleted the work plans that were having issues.
  2. Created new plans with a unique name (adding 07-26 as a suffix).
  3. Update the schedules to use the new plans
  4. Deleted the old plans
  5. Restarted the app
  6. The old plans are back
  7. Deleted the old plans
  8. Restarted the app
  9. Old plans are back (yes, tried twice)

As for the ticket

please update your support ticket and provide the requested information from our latest reply.

That requested information was

  1. The exact time zone, date, and time when the issue occurred
  2. Screenshots of any error messages in the app and photos of the scene at the time of the issue

The date/times are in the attached image. Timezone as previously mentioned is Central US.

There is no error message. I’m not sure what photo the support team would be looking for. The lawn mower is back on it’s charging pad.

I would expect these types of issues from a BETA product, but this has been generally available for over a year, and given the price point I expect better.

Hi there, based on the screenshots you provided, it looks like the manually started work plan completed normally, while the scheduled tasks are the ones experiencing the issue. Is that correct?

Could you please check your schedule settings and see whether the “Next Run Behavior” is set to “Resume Next Time”? If so, please try changing it to “Start Over Next Time” and test again. This setting could potentially be related to the behavior you are seeing and may help resolve the issue.

If the issue continues after this adjustment, our support team will continue to follow up and help investigate further.

Thanks for your cooperation!

I received a response on the ticket, this appears to be a known issue and will be fixed in a future update.

Recreating the plans did not resolve the issue.

As a work around, users can change the setting to “Start Over Next Time”.
