Suggestion for some type of warning (audible, light, both) when the snowblower Auger Anti-Freeze Mode is going to spin up the auger and move the chute.
(Apologies if there is an audible or light flash warning - I’ve heard the chute and auger spin up from several feet away and easily could have missed beeps or vocal warnings.)
I tend to clean the auger of snow when the snowblower returns to the Docking Station, and I never know how long I have to do that without the cleaning stick getting hacked.
Audible is great, but flicking the lights as well several seconds before the auger spins would help get the point across.
Note that the rover does beep when it’s on the Docking Station and you put it under App control, so there’s some capability there already, if all that’s needed are beeps.
X-ref this post, which was prior to the Anti-Freeze mode and referred to the auger spinning up in general.
It’s every 30 mins when in standby mode and below freezing. So, open the app to wake it and you’d be good. Not saying a warning isn’t a good idea but I would turn that off immediately. Like I do the voice. Instant muted. So, if they do it, it needs to respect the volume and mute settings or be able to be disabled.
Yep. That’s why I cans test it again until I’m done scraping and we are just above freezing for the next few days. Not going to complain about that after our long stretch of -35.
Thanks for your detailed suggestion and for explaining the scenario so clearly. If more users show interest in this kind of warning feature, I’ll be happy to pass the feedback along to our product team for further consideration. We really appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts.
