Should I purchase the Pro Package?

After reading all of these posts I think new technologies take time for the challenges that present these technologies over time. NO product is perfect when it is released. Always like companies that want feedback, both positive and negative, and work through the issues which results in a better experience.

I’m on the fence also. I have a lot of leaves on the lawn in the fall. Is there any videos showing how the pro handles these? do we think it will actually mulch the leaves properly or will I still need to blow?

I don’t think it’s going to handle a thick blanket of leaves all that well. I think if you mow them daily and you can still see grass when you’re doing it, then you’ll be fine.

I would love to see it in a video doing this. I could run it daily on the heavily covered areas if it is just a matter of keeping up before the piles becomes to high. I heard that the original doesn’t do anything with the leaves.

I did purchase the Pro package as I said in an earlier message to close out me starting this thread. I have a very old oak that has gotten Oak Wilt (its something that once the tree gets it drops all its leaves within a week or so and kills the tree - spreading like wild fire in WI right now). Anyways, I am going to send it out and see how it does with that one trees worth of leaves. They are partially green and brown so they will have some weight to them and they are a thick blanked in some pretty thick grass. I will report back the results since that will be the most challenging thing this robot has attempted given we don’t have the Pro mower yet.

Yes the M1 will only push the leaves around a bit and oddly cut the grass underneath.

Sorry, had miss read the question and through it was just about blowing leaves not the mulch capability of pro. Anyways. My blower test was a fail anyways. Grass in that area was too long and the blower basically read the 6” tall grass as nothing but an obstacle. Will have to mow this over the weekend and give it a try.

Bryan,

It seems the Pro is much better at mowing longer grass, say over 4 inches. Since I keep my grass short by mowing at least twice per week, I can’t imagine anything doing a better job than my M1. I suppose with the Pro I could let the grass grow a little longer and mow only once per week but my Yarbo doesn’t mind working six days a week. At least it hasn’t complained so far.

I think it filed a complaint with the union today. There was a “server maintenance” push notification today.

Ken,

For most people the M1 will be fine. For those who need to cut shorter (0.8 inches), cut frequently in wet grass, or cut longer grass routinely, then the pro would be a good choice. It’s very powerful and does a good job with tall and wet grass.

Since I started this thread I wanted to post one more point. If you are reading this you need to go out and find more information than what you are seeing here. Basically the same handful of people chime in on every single post. If you go to say Facebook there are at least three groups. You will find the Official Site, another User Site and then one called Uncensored. Read through all of them. Several posts exists asking basically the same question I have here but you have one massive difference; a massively larger user group. Now some of them have the same people that just can’t help themselves from responding, heck you will even get people that do not own one giving opinions.

In the end, don’t just look here, its basically the same two people that have to respond or like everything on this forum and have now just taken the thread over and in a direction it was never intended.

Good luck in whatever choice you make.

Great advice @mike1 Seeking information from as many sources and channels as possible is smart in this day and age.

@mike1 sorry if I missed your follow-up. What was the result of mowing the leaves?

My biggest consideration between M1 and M-Pro is handling leaves. While my property has no trees (new construction that the builder unfortunately removed all the trees), but along my back property line is a stand of mature white oaks. They will undoubtedly deposit a mountain of leaves on my grass and I worry if the M1 will handle them. I would hate to be force to the M-Pro simply because a few weeks a year I have leaves.

I’d be willing to mow that area daily during the fall if that would address any M1 struggles with lots of leaves.

Or you could do like me with many trees on some parts of my land. Get a pull behind lawn sweep. They have many sizes. With all the issues, until I see it’s working correctly, I won’t buy one. I’m doing multiple cuttings per week. When It works, it does just fine. They’re not willing to upgrade us older buyers, that came in early to the game. Haven’t fixed all the bugs out yet. So why spend more money until everything is working correctly. I’m on my 3rd core. Still having issues. When it’s working correct, I’ll use the tow hitch, pull a 42” to 52” yard sweep, take it to my compost pile. Just a thought. Sweep is a couple hundred vs. couple thousand.

I have owned the Yarbo M1 mower since spring 2025. I have an acre of grass. I do have to run my zero turning radius mower around the edges and trim areas along buildings and areas that the Yarbo can not get close enough to mow, once a month, with a trimmer. But for the most part, I am able to enjoy my summer, and able to have my lawn mowed on a regular basis.

I am 73 years old, I began this experiment to find a way to stay in my home and be able to keep up with maintaining an acre of grass. The Yarbo experiment has provided enough help that I feel, as long as my health allows, I am going to be able to live in my home and maintain it. I have no affiliation with Yarbo, and I am only speaking up because I believed enough in this company that I ordered the Lawnmower Pro because I can see with the capabilities of Lawnmower M1, the Pro will be the robotic mower that will grow old with me. I believe, the Pro will be able to remedy any of the inabilities that my M1 exhibits. I look forward to letting go, next year, of the people that I pay over $1250 to treat my grass. I anticipate purchasing the Yarbo Spreader to take their place. I hope this information can help those wondering should they try this experiment.

No razor blade robot can mulch leaves. They pretty much just drive over them. Doesn’t matter who makes the robot.

That said, you can use Yarbo’s blower module to help push the leaves to a designated spot before mowing, which is a unique benefit to Yarbo.

Also, I wouldn’t bet on Yarbo’s mower pro to tackle large quantities of leaves either.

@GROWF - I got the Pro mower and it has not shipped yet. Will report once I get it.

@GROWF - I have tried the blower. In its current state it basically is not usable to blow leaves because it is scared of its own shadow and several other issues well documented across this forum and facebook despite what some say; including those that have admitted they have never tried it but still defend it. I will say blower in current state does work ok for blowing the driveway off, but even that could use some improvements. Blower does have good power so when the navigation issues get worked out I think we might have something with it.

I am 74 and purchased my Yarbo for the same reason as you. It is storming currently at 10:00 p.m. over my home in Florida and my Yarbo is mowing in heavy rain while I sit inside and read my Yarbo Forum. I have the M1 and am very pleased with its performance. My wife is so happy with the lawn that she is taking credit for having the idea to invest in Yarbo.
