Snowblower unit digs into the ground. It would be great if it raised the blower to the max - then started moving then sets it back to the correct height once it leaves the dock.
Yep. This has been discussed a few times in the past. It really is needed.

Raise to max might not be a good idea…once you’re past ~1.5-1.6” the scraper bar and underside become angled up higher than the lower parts of core. Heavier/packier snow will start lifting the front of the unit and you can get high centered.
I agree that max height could be a problem. I think the dock auger height should be configurable so that if you need it to not be zero when cleaning the dock and leaving the dock, you can set the height you need.
That’s what I was thinking. It shouldn’t be an on/off kind of thing. Give me a slider field so I can set the height I want as Yarbo leaves the dock.

Solution
Yeah, with my current setup I’d have to start out with it higher at the beginning of the season and then could lower it later. I’ll be doing some relandscaping over there anyways so we’ll see, but this year I got the base squared away and it’s working pretty good now. If they implement the vison based dock recognition it could lower the scraper once it knows it’s over the dock…Also assuming the cameras can see 
so they’d still need a fallback
It should us this new cool tech called machine learning 
each time it runs it could collect training data.
