Yarbo drift / eating up shear pins

The drift in Yarbo has become pretty terrible. It’s now drifting into Rock beds That it never used to get into, which is caused me to run through about eight shear pins. Pretty ridiculous, as I have no more sheer pins left.

And at the cost of $40 for a handful of sheer pins, it’s gonna get expensive real quick.

Not happy.

We’re really sorry to hear about the map drift issue. It’s definitely abnormal for Yarbo to enter the garden beds, and we understand how frustrating this can be. To help resolve this, we’ve created a support ticket (#73234) to investigate the root cause and provide a solution. Our tech team will be reaching out to you soon through this support ticket.

It would be greatly appreciated if you could provide more details, such as the timestamp of the issue and a picture of the diagnosis page, to help our support team better understand the situation.

We truly appreciate your patience and look forward to resolving this for you!

I am actually having the same issue. Only on one side of my drive yarbo turns into the boundary and tries to dig into the snow which cover a rock bed.

You’ll see my issue in a separate diect message to you. I have had major shear pin issues on my gravel drive, but it is not getting anywhere near gravel. Just can’t handle the snow. Insane.

I’m thinking you may have a burr or rounded out shear pin holes or something that is causing them to break prematurely. I think I saw in another post of yours that you submitted a ticket. You may want to take a look at the shear pin holes and see if there is a lot of play in them. Might be the torque of the motors causing them to continually hit and break due to some extra play. Just a theory.

That’s a good theory. I wouldn’t have thought of that.

Hi there, as we discussed in the support ticket, we may need some videos to continue troubleshooting. We’ll wait for your update in the ticket so our support team can move on to the next steps.

Might want to dial back PPVS temporarily. My Yarbo started hitting the house foundation when coming off the dock and heading up to the front of the house, it wouldn’t always get a good GPS lock. You could add a sidewalk on a known good spot see if it can make it there and get a good lock before moving on?
