Yarbo Series M winter module

I’m looking at the Kickstarter and the winter snow module is a plow. What happened to the snow blower option?

The snow blower is only an option for the larger Y series. If you need a snow blower, you should just purchase the Y series. They mentioned on the live stream last night that they are considering a snow blower for the M series, but nothing is announced as of yet and it won’t be any time soon.

Hey Bryan. What is the weight difference between the Y and M cores? I’m thinking the M might be too light for a good snow blower?

The M series core is about 60lbs. The plow includes a counterweight, but I don’t think it provides a lot of weight. I think the bigger issue is the battery life is about half the Y series (for the M20). The snow blower takes a lot of power. So unless they do a single stage snow blower or something like one of those battery operated snow shovels, I don’t think a snow blower like the Y series is going to be practical.

Is the snow blower on any roadmap, I just want to keep things realistic on which core to purchase. i don’t want to buy the Y core when the M core will have it down the line.

That’s a tough one. I don’t think any roadmap any time soon. That’s just my guess. I imagine we’d see a M series like plow for the Y series before we see a M series snow blower. However, market demand will dictate their priorities. It seems to be a very common ask so far. Anything is possible. Unfortunately, they won’t tell us until it’s released or close to production. If they haven’t started working on it, that research and engineering could take a while. Especially considering it won’t just be a smaller 2 stage version of the Y Series S1 like the M Series trimmer is. It will be something different entirely and that takes a significant level of effort to research, design, engineer, test, and produce.

Maybe the community can help you figure out which would be best for you. What kind of use case are you trying to solve for? How much snow do you get each year? How long does it stick around? Are you wanting to mow, trim, remove leaves, etc?

What type of snow do you typically deal with?

I had to push through 2 foot+ compacted drifts this winter and Jack did an exceptional job. Took some back and forth work and some time but did very well. Anything lighter would definitely not done as well if at all IMHO.

We’re sorry, but at the moment we do not have this planned.
