[2024] How to Activate/Deactivate the Auger When Starting a Workplan

The Auger is a key component in your Yarbo’s snow removal system, and being able to easily activate or deactivate it ensures that your Yarbo can adapt to different working conditions. This guide will walk you through how to adjust the auger settings in the Yarbo app so that you can control whether the auger is active during your work plan.

Why Control the Auger?

The auger is responsible for removing snow effectively, but there may be times when you don’t need it to be active—for example, when there’s no snow present. Deactivating the auger when it’s not needed can help conserve power and prevent unnecessary wear.

Important Note: It is recommended to turn off the auger only when there is no snow present, as keeping it off during snowy conditions may reduce the efficiency of your Yarbo’s performance.

Follow these simple steps to control the auger during a work plan:

Step 1: Open the Yarbo App

  • Launch the Yarbo app on your mobile device.

Step 2: Select Your Yarbo Device

  • From the main dashboard, select your Yarbo device . This will bring up the controls and settings for your Yarbo.

Step 3: Access the Settings Menu

  • Tap on the settings icon (usually represented by a gear icon) to access the settings menu for your Yarbo.

Step 4: Navigate to “Work Preference”

  • Scroll through the settings menu and tap on “Work Preference” . This section allows you to customize how Yarbo operates during its work plan.

Step 5: Adjust the Auger Setting

    • To Activate the Auger : Make sure the toggle switch is turned on . This means the auger will operate during the work plan.
    • To Deactivate the Auger : Simply toggle off the switch. Yarbo will not activate the auger during the work plan when this is off.

Step 6: Save Your Preferences

  • Once you have made your desired changes, tap the checkmark icon or any “Save” button to confirm your settings.

Testing Yarbo with the Updated Settings

  • Start a Work Plan : Use the Yarbo app to start a new work plan.
  • Observe Yarbo’s Operation : Depending on whether you’ve activated or deactivated the auger, monitor how Yarbo handles the terrain. This can help you confirm that the auger settings are functioning correctly based on the conditions
