I just did test print with PLA, going to use either ASA-GF or PA6-GF. I am still strugling with 3D concepts so may take a while for me to create a final version. I ordered the material for my H2D.
Your design is what inspired me and I think is superior for cut. I mainly wanted to create a bit of air lift because, here in New England, the grass is often slightly wet. Yarbo heavy tracks tends to press the grass down while mowing, and with the second pass, the pressed down grass does not raise up timely and discs doesn’t lift it to cut with the blades properly. That’s why I was thinking that if a blade or mechanism could create even a slight lift, the cutting performance would improve significantly.
I think it is a great design. From experience you may need to go thicker.
Isn’t printing fun ![]()
Annealing makes a big difference as well. It hardens by crystallizing the plastic.
Be careful to print in a well ventilated room. Some materials are quite toxic.
thanks. I will sure
Did you print your model yet? ![]()
no did not get the time yet
Is this something you can make and send a couple to ne. I love getting away from the disk.
I would to get two of these blades for my yarbo.
Absolutely. The most cost effective way would be to have someone 3d print them for you locally. The files are available for free on thingiverse under Yarbo.
If that doesn’t work for you, let’s start with what country are you in. I am in Canada. ![]()
US Kentucky
USA tariffs against Canada may affect pricing.
The next week should clarify things.
If you are breaking blades I would suggest you check the mower deck lifting hardware. I found mine had loosened and was effecting cut quality. Then it broke bolts and fell off.
That said, many people find that the above 3d printed discs are better than stock ones.
Nice! Good luck with the testing.
The geometry was fun ![]()
May I ask, what was wrong with the other design? It seems to be very functional.
Lol. I just needed something to do at 5am. I thought the Y design for Yarbo would be cute.
I agree the cross blade is working great for me as well.
I’m glad to hear it’s working great for you ![]()
I’m sleeping at that time. You should try it! ![]()
LMAO. Best time of the day. No distractions ![]()
I find that is after 9PM when my family goes to bed! LOL
