Auger not working!!!

I ran into the same barrier. Need the rest of the details before I’m able to order a spare.

Same. Have it saved in my Amazon cart waiting for the rest of the specs.

It is S5M-25-515.

Per Grok:
S5M-25-515 is a timing belt (synchronous belt) designation commonly used in industrial automation, robotics, CNC machines, 3D printers, and other precision power transmission applications.

Here’s the breakdown of the code:

Part of Code Meaning Details for S5M-25-515
S5M Pitch type and size S = Super Torque (high-torque version of HTD)
5M = 5 mm pitch (distance between teeth)
25 Belt width in mm 25 mm wide
515 Pitch length in mm 515 mm total circumference (measured along the pitch line)

Key Specifications

  • Tooth profile: Rounded (curvilinear) – similar to HTD but optimized for higher torque

  • Pitch: 5 mm

  • Number of teeth: 515 mm ÷ 5 mm = 103 teeth

  • Width: 25 mm

  • Common material: Neoprene rubber with fiberglass tensile cords (sometimes steel cords for heavy duty)

  • Typical pulleys needed: S5M pulleys with 103 teeth would make a closed loop, but usually used with smaller drive/driven pulleys

Equivalent or Similar Belts

  • HTD 5M belts (very close, sometimes interchangeable)

  • Gates PowerGrip GT2 or GT3 5M (slightly different profile but similar performance)

  • Some brands label it as 515S5M25 (e.g., Bando, Mitsuboshi, Optibelt, ContiTech)

Common Applications

  • CNC routers (especially larger ones)

  • Industrial robots

  • Heavy-duty linear actuators

  • Large-format 3D printers

  • Automation equipment requiring high torque and precise positioning

In short: The S5M-25-515 is a 25 mm wide, 515 mm long, 5 mm pitch high-torque synchronous timing belt with 103 teeth.

Good idea enlisting Grok to explain it.

Now we know what to order! Amazon to the rescue…

I found this one. Seems to be the correct dimensions.

@bryan.wheeler Nope, not shear pins, the auger does not spin freely. Are you aware of any videos or instructions on how to replace the belt? I hate to wreck the unit by doing it incorrectly!

I do not have the link to the video but support should be able to provide that for you. Unless someone here who’s been down this road before can share it here. Maybe @Yarbo-Forum wouldn’t mind sharing it.

My guess would be that it’s fairly straightforward, just slide it on or possibly pull a few bolts.

I dont like the fact that they put the maintenance videos behind links to google drives. Seems like they would be better suited to go on the wiki.

Just my 2 cents.

They probably didn’t originally create the videos for public use. I bet they were for their ‘reconditioning’ teams originally.

Cause you’re right - Why not just list them all in the Wiki, with a link to them on Youtube?

No corporation ever wants to “air the dirty laundry”.

Actually most are unlisted YT videos. But yeah, links on the wiki would be good. Along with schematics, specs, third party part numbers, etc.

I ordered one, thanks for posting. Bad part is, it says to be delivered Dec 19 thru Jan 2. I hope I don’t break one sooner than this. I like spare parts.

I ordered one too. Better safe than sorry. Let’s hope they get delivered sooner than predicted.

I broke my first shear pins today and got an auger over current, ~softball sized rock, probably the kids were playing with:sweat_smile:…that belt is beefy, I’ll cross my fingers for now:sweat_smile::sweat_smile::sweat_smile:, maybe future shipments could include some spares like that? Belt, RTK antennas, track grease, etc?

That would be nice if it did include some spares of those things as well.

I lost two sheer pins on Day 1 blowing snow with Yarbo.

I suggest you do what I did - Immediately order more!

Yeah I saw all your guys comments and immediately ordered every single spare thing at the store—pins, battery, cord, grease, etc. I have also sourced other community based improvements. Smart @rgloverii.

To me the spare battery was the best bang for the buck. I do a battery swap mid plan as I have a 34,000sqft plan that I would like to complete in 1 day. It’s close with a spare battery and a reasonable start time. Not snowblowing. That’s bonkers. 34,000 sqft yard.

The battery is over twice what the price should be…if my battery dies I’d consider making a replacement of my own at this point :sweat_smile:

I know this is LFP, but much more reasonable cost…

That thing is huge though it’s 60 lbs. Bang for the buck was probably the wrong phrase.
