So the snowblower worked yesterday great. Now today it has the sound that it wants the auger to work and it’s no longer spinning at all. Tried the controller. Tried everything. Shear pins are fine. Don’t tell me some belt or something is broken. When I spin it manually it moves so it’s not stuck

Replaced my belt (and yes that screw in the back took all the time). The only issue I had was the snow clogging the auger. I wish there was an alert to let me know when it was building up. [IMG_5421] [IMG_5422]

Remove the safety guards and the plume diverter. It will help. So will a good ceramic coating and or a snow blower spray in the chute, impeller, and intake box.

Thank you. As I was cleaning, I recalled comments about the spray. Could you be more specific on the plume diverter? The entire diverter, the angle adjustment piece, or the small piece at the rotating base?

Interestingly, the snow wasn’t wet or heavy when it fell but rather light and fluffy. I believe the buildup resulted from melting snow and Yarbo’s activity. Not sure what type of surface you are clearing, but I have found that if you don’t clear all the way down (zero auger height) to a hard surface like asphalt (at least in my area) it will start to melt and clog on the second pass. Perhaps a factor?

Got an update. I took everything apart again, and removed the belt. The main gear turns just like the video dsapp463 provided. I looked further on the motor, and even though it turned, it had some wire from the shredded belt wrapped on it still (pretty tight, missed it originally). I got all of …

Definitely sounds like it is a motor issue at this point. Hopefully they get it resolved for you quickly.

The little plastic piece at the bottom of the chute. Reinstall the screws you remove from it.
